Our Christmas Weekend

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged since Thanksgiving. Whoops! I’ve been crazy busy with my new job, and haven’t had the time to work on any holiday posts (sad face!). But I’m hoping to get some new content up in the new year.

Anyways, I wanted to recap our Christmas weekend! It was so lovely to spend time with family during the holidays. For Thanksgiving, a ton of my cousins were working that day and my family from Michigan weren’t able to make it out. But luckily for Christmas, everyone had the day off and we were all able to get together.

We like to celebrate with family on Christmas Day, so Mike and I spent Christmas Eve baking up a storm. We made some amazing chocolate chip cookies, and two loaves of banana bread – one with chocolate chips of course!

On Christmas Day, we headed to my parents for a lunch feast and opened gifts with all my relatives. We only have one kid in the family, and all love watching her toys. I think she was pretty in awe of every toy she received! In the evening, us “kids” went to Dave and Busters. It was pretty much a blast as we’re all pretty competitive so it was really fun!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family and loved ones. I am so thankful to spend the time with family. I realize that as we all get older, holiday traditions might not be the same so I am savoring these moments!
